Unit details
Each inventory unit has its own details page. It brings together the unit’s product, where it is stored, who owns it, its tracking data, the full history of its movements and any files attached to it, such as invoices, warranty cards or photos.
Open it when you need to trace what happened to a unit, check its warranty, print its label or keep documents with it.
What’s on this screen
Section titled “What’s on this screen”- The QR label card with the unit’s QR code and its System code, which you can copy.
- Product Specifications: Product, Category and Brand.
- Warehouse & Location: Current Warehouse, Region and Bin location.
- Ownership & Financials: Ownership Type, Customer Name for customer-owned units, and Received At.
- Tracking: Serial number, Batch number, Warranty ends and Expiry date.
- Summary tiles: Unit Cost, Days in stock and Movements.
- The current assignment, when the unit is issued to an employee.
- Two tabs: Movement history and Attachments.
- Action buttons at the top, such as Print Label, Edit Unit and Download SVG QR.
How to open a unit
Section titled “How to open a unit”- From the side menu, open Inventory › Units & Inventory.
- Click the unit’s row. You can also open a unit from a product page or from the search.
How to read the movement history
Section titled “How to read the movement history”- Open the Movement history tab.
- Each entry shows the movement number, its date and time, the warehouses involved and who performed it under Performed By.
- Click a movement number to open that movement.
If the unit has not moved yet, the tab shows No movements yet.
How to check the warranty
Section titled “How to check the warranty”- Look at Warranty ends in the Tracking section. A dash means no warranty date was recorded.
- To set or change it, use Edit Unit.
How to add attachments
Section titled “How to add attachments”- Open the Attachments tab.
- Click Choose files and pick one or more files.
- Click Upload.
Each attachment shows its size, who uploaded it and when.
How to view, download or delete an attachment
Section titled “How to view, download or delete an attachment”- In the Attachments tab, use View to open the file or Download to save it.
- To remove a file, click Delete and confirm with Delete. This cannot be undone.
How to print or download the QR code
Section titled “How to print or download the QR code”- Click Print Label to open the unit’s label for printing.
- Or click Download SVG QR to save the QR code as an image file.
Required permissions
Section titled “Required permissions”- Print Label needs print qr labels; Edit Unit needs update inventory.
- Uploading needs upload unit attachments and operating access to the unit’s warehouse.
- You can delete attachments you uploaded yourself; deleting others’ files needs delete unit attachments.
