Check in assigned assets
When an employee returns a unit they were holding as a custody asset, check it in to bring it back into the warehouse that handed it out. You record the condition the unit came back in, and the app creates an Asset check-in movement.
You can check in several units at once from the current assignments list, or a single unit from its own page.
How to check in several units
Section titled “How to check in several units”- From the side menu, open Assets › Current assignments.
- Use the search box or the warehouse and holder filters to find the units.
- Tick the units being returned, or use Select every unit on this page.
- Click Check in selected with the number of selected units.
- In the window, choose the Condition and add Notes if needed.
- Confirm.
How to check in a single unit
Section titled “How to check in a single unit”- Open the unit’s page. Its Held by section shows who holds it and since when.
- Click Check in.
- In Check the unit in, choose the Condition, add Notes if needed, and confirm.
Fields
Section titled “Fields”- Condition — Good — back to stock makes the unit available again; Damaged — inspect first sends it to inspection before it can be used again (required).
- Notes — any remarks about the return.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”The units return to the warehouse that handed them out and the app opens the new Asset check-in movement, recorded as Completed. The units disappear from Current assignments and from the holder’s My assets.

Section titled “Required permission”The assign units permission, with access to the warehouse the units belong to.
