Floor mode

Floor mode is a simple launcher for work on the warehouse floor. Instead of the full menu, it shows large buttons that are easy to tap on a phone or tablet, each opening one common task such as scanning a unit, receiving a transfer or running a stock count.

Use it on a mobile device while you move around the warehouse, or whenever you only need the everyday floor tasks.

What’s on this screen

• A grid of large buttons, each with a title and a short description.
• A count badge on a button when tasks are waiting for you, for example transfers to receive.
• Only the buttons your role allows. If none apply, the screen shows No floor actions are available for your role.

How to open floor mode

1. Click your name at the top right of the page.
2. Choose Floor mode.

The buttons

• Scan — Scan a unit or location barcode. Needs view inventory.
• Receive transfer — Confirm incoming transfers. Needs receive transfers.
• Count — Run your assigned stock counts. Needs perform stock counts or manage stock counts.
• Hand over issue — Hand issued items to recipients. Needs create issues.
• Complete issue — Close issues after delivery. Needs create issues.
• Assign asset — Give an asset to an employee. Needs assign units.
• Check in asset — Take an asset back. Needs assign units.

How to start a task

1. Open Floor mode.
2. Tap the button for the task. A number on the button shows how many items are waiting.
3. Complete the task on the screen that opens.

Note

The waiting counts come from your own task list, so they only include work in the warehouses you are assigned to.
